With over 30 years of experience as an Olympic world-class sports doctor, Dr. Richard Hata PhD, DSM has integrated Western sports medicine with internal energy from Taoist art{Maoshan Tao}. He is an alumnus and member of several sports institutions, including the Olympian International Sports Medicine Federation, Sports Federation, Sports Medicine College, and Sports College. These institutions were formerly headquartered in Czechoslovakia, Hungary, East Germany, and South Korea and were established by Dr. Richard W. You, M.D.

Dr. Richard Hata PhD, DSM personally interned with Dr. Richard W. You MD at the World Sports Medicine Clinic. (Dr. Richard W. You MD is considered one of the greatest medical sports doctors and sports surgeons in Olympic history.)
